We are seeking a highly skilled Fire and Life Safety Director to join our team at Encore Community Services. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and maintain the Comprehensive Fire Safety and Emergency Action Plan, ensuring compliance with FDNY regulations.
- Conduct regular fire safety inspections and drills to ensure the safety of our residents and staff.
- Respond to fire emergencies and investigate the causes of fires, taking appropriate action to prevent future incidents.
- Maintain physical and emotional safety of all residents, ensuring their well-being and dignity.
- Ensure building security, including operating the entrance door buzzer system and monitoring security devices.
- Document all incidents and report them in a timely manner, maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Two years' experience in fire safety and emergency response.
- Valid T89 certificate.
- Ability to handle emergency situations with calm and professionalism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
