Fire Life Safety Director

h3Job Description/h3pAllied Universal is seeking a highly skilled Fire Life Safety Director to oversee the fire safety and emergency management operations at an education facility in Lincoln Center, Manhattan./ppThis is a full-time position with a work shift available overnight, working Saturday through Tuesday. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of the facility and its occupants through the implementation of the fire safety plan, management of the Fire Command Station, and supervision of the fire brigade, floor wardens, and building evacuation supervisors./ppThe ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18 years of age, and have effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. They must also be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting and read and understand all operating procedures and instructions./ppbKey Responsibilities:/b/pulliEnsure all life safety systems and related equipment are fully functional./liliSupervise fire safety teams, including Fire Wardens, Deputy Fire Wardens, and Building Evacuation Team members./liliConduct fire alarm drills and maintain a written log of critiques to identify potential or actual weaknesses in response time or life safety systems and related equipment./liliProvide clear direction, information, and assistance to clients, visitors, guests, vendors, and employees in a professional, pleasant, and courteous fashion./liliAssist building security staff in the visual inspection of visitor, vendor, and employee access badges/identification cards to verify authorized holders./liliMaintain surveillance and reporting of suspicious persons and/or packages./liliPerform CPR/AED and basic first aid as required./li/ulpbRequirements:/b/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent required./liliAt least 18 years of age./liliEffective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills./liliFrequent preparation of written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting./liliAbility to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions./li/ulpbWorking Conditions:/b/pulliStand or walk constantly on various surfaces./liliClimb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally./liliOccasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties./liliOccasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds./liliRun as needed./li/ulpbEqual Opportunity Employer:/b/ppAllied Universal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
