About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Systems Security Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a Cyber Systems Security Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and analyzing cyber-attack surfaces and implementing relevant cybersecurity controls on our clients' products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing cybersecurity maintenance, including continuous monitoring, security updates, patching, and hardening.
  • Providing cybersecurity oversight to our Systems and Software teams and providing necessary documentation and artifacts to support and maintain any ATOs for our clients' products.
  • Designing and implementing embedded System Security Engineering solutions in all aspects of the System Security Engineering (SSE) process in development of Department of Defense (DoD) Weapon Systems.
  • Assessing and mitigating System Security threats/risks throughout the embedded Weapon System development life cycle.
  • Validating System Security Engineering requirements decomposition, allocation, and analysis for Test Systems.
  • Implementing System Security Engineering solutions hardware and software.
  • Verifying implementation of system security requirements.
  • Analyzing weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and threats against System Security posture on product designs.
Requirements

Candidates must have 3-5 years of experience with the following:

  • Cybersecurity experience on embedded systems.
  • Systems security.
  • Systems analysis and design.
  • Familiarity with STIGs and system hardening.
  • Familiarity with cyber tools such as Ansible, SCC, Nessus/ACAS.
  • Familiarity with software assurance tools (SAST and DAST).
