Description:

At Lockheed Martin, we are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Systems Security Engineer to join our team. As a Cyber Systems Security Engineer, you will be responsible for providing embedded system security engineering design and implementation in all aspects of system security engineering (SSE) process in development of Department of Defense (DoD) weapon systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the embedded weapon system development life cycle.
  • Validate system security engineering requirements decomposition, allocation, and analysis for embedded weapon systems.
  • Implement system security engineering solutions hardware and software.
  • Verify implementation of system security requirements.
  • Design, implement, deploy, and maintain state-of-the-art system security architectures and countermeasures to protect and enable innovative new Lockheed Martin missiles and fire control products.
  • Analyze weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and threats against system security posture on product designs.
  • Prototype and test system security countermeasures that defend against cyber-attacks against Lockheed Martin missiles and fire control weapon system products.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to obtain an Interim DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to beginning employment, and then obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance while employed to be considered for this position.
  • Experience working within the DoD systems development life-cycle (SDLC).
  • Implementing system security requirements on DoD systems to meet U.S. government compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting validation and verification of security requirements on DoD systems.
  • Possess an approved DoD 8570 baseline certification for IAT/IAM Level II (CISSP, CAP, etc.) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of start date in order to meet program requirements.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience developing embedded DoD National Security Systems (NSS) requiring systems security engineering implementations.
  • Design experience through the DoD systems development life-cycle (SDLC) developing embedded system security solutions for DoD weapon or tactical systems.
  • Tactical as well as strategic thinking and creative problem solving.
  • Experience with embedded systems design.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Experience with embedded system vulnerability scanning and Software Assurance (SwA) activities.
  • Strong understanding of system security engineering (SSE) principles and process (NIST SP 800-161).
  • Experience in the identification, decomposition, allocation, and verification of NIST SP 800-53 security controls on DoD systems.
  • Experience in supporting security verification testing on developed DoD weapon systems.
