Job Summary

Pacific Shipyards International is seeking a skilled Marine Coatings Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our shipyard, you will be responsible for applying marine coatings to specified contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply coatings using conventional spray systems, airless spray systems, and plural spray systems.
  • Safely operate various types of equipment and tools, including blast pots, spray guns, and sandblasting tools.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting and blasting.
  • Mix paints to desired colors and consistencies.
  • Operate a man lift, work at heights, and swing stage training.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of marine-related experience preferred.
  • SSPC C7 certification and/or certifications in blasting and painting.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and balance priorities.
Working Conditions

The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
