Job SummaryThis role will drive the implementation of Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives to achieve measurable cost reductions and enhance product quality. As a Strategic Cost Reduction Specialist, you'll collaborate closely with suppliers to evaluate alternative materials and manufacturing processes while managing change across the supply chain.
Responsibilities- Drive significant supplier base reduction and consolidation by managing the change management process of moving materials from non-strategic to strategic suppliers, while improving costs for the same.
- Partner with suppliers to evaluate alternative materials, components, and manufacturing processes that offer cost savings without compromising product quality or performance.
- Leverage strong project and change management skills to drive continuous improvements for the categories, introducing innovative strategies for Supplier excellence.
- Responsible for recommending and deploying dual/multi sources of supply to ensure continuity of supply of key products.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain/engineering or business-related field AND 7-10+ Years of Engineering/Manufacturing Experience.
- OR High School Diploma/GED AND 11 - 14+ years of Engineering/Manufacturing Experience.
- Strong track record of driving operational improvements (e.g. cost savings) to support the business strategy.
- Familiarity with VAVE tools and processes - Value Analysis and Value Engineering Tools.
- Influential with the ability to articulate and drive teams toward a common goal.
We offer a competitive salary, estimated at $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide benefits such as hybrid work arrangements, up to 20% domestic/international travel, and relocation assistance may be authorized. Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
