Job Description

**Job Summary**

CAMS is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Community Management Professional to join our dynamic team. As a Portfolio Manager Trainee, you will play a critical role in supporting our community managers and learning the skills necessary to become a successful portfolio manager.

About the Role

The Community Associate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining open lines of communication with boards of directors and homeowners.
  • Preparing and presenting budgets to boards.
  • Analyzing monthly financial reports and creating variance reports for boards.
  • Creating monthly management reports.
  • Contacting and coordinating with vendors for community maintenance projects.
  • Overseeing daily operations of a portfolio of communities.
  • Regularly attending board meetings as well as internal team meetings.
  • Supervising administrative and maintenance staff when applicable.

What You Will Learn

As a Community Associate, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop the skills necessary to become a successful portfolio manager. You will be exposed to a learning path that will walk you through modules related to the industry and the duties you will master. You will also work closely with a mentor or shadow an experienced team member who will provide tangible learning opportunities that connect real working instances to the learning path.

Requirements

  • Proven proficiency in learning new technology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Proven capability to review and analyze financial reports.
  • Grasp of contractual bidding processes.
  • Knowledge of proper meeting order.
  • Familiarity with the architectural request process.
  • Ability to create and maintain a proper working budget.

Preferred Education, Licensing, and Experience

  • Associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Property Management related experience.

Benefits & Salary

The salary range for this position is $45,000 annually and is determined by the candidate's previous experience and qualifications explained and proven during the interview process. The CAMS compensation package includes:
