Role Overview:
With minimal supervision, you will conduct diagnostic and service tasks on residential and light commercial HVAC systems and components. You will engage with customers to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure complete satisfaction. Additionally, you will promote products and services to our clientele while working under the guidance of the Field Supervisor or General Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform residential and light commercial service and maintenance calls with minimal oversight.
- Diagnose and resolve customer issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Service heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems accurately and efficiently.
- Inspect equipment and conduct diagnostics to identify potential issues, preventing unexpected breakdowns.
- Complete routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment as required.
- Manage the delivery and removal of parts and equipment necessary for service work.
- Utilize handheld devices to document all required information during customer calls, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately.
- Maintain communication with dispatch to provide updates on activities and availability.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Ensure company property, vehicles, and tools are used and maintained responsibly.
- Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all business dealings.
- Follow standard procedures to ensure company vehicles are stocked appropriately and defective parts are returned as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Report any unsafe acts, conditions, or hazards to your supervisor immediately.
- Notify your supervisor of any violations of legislation or company policies.
- Address substandard conditions within your control.
- Utilize and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Participate in safety initiatives and report any incidents as per company guidelines.
- Contribute to the development of safety initiatives to minimize risks.
- Comply with all applicable legislative requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, with 0-2 years of experience in a technical role, or prior experience as an Installer or Maintenance Technician.
- Valid licensing or certification as required by local regulations.
- EPA and safety certifications are mandatory.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and related components.
- Proficient mechanical skills and ability to operate necessary tools and equipment.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot HVAC systems.
- Effective communication skills to interact with customers and resolve issues.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as necessary.
- Physical ability to perform tasks in various environmental conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.
