The Senior Verification & Validation Engineer (V&V) plays a crucial role in establishing a risk-based testing strategy, creating detailed test plans, and authoring test procedures and cases to ensure compliance with product requirements and specifications. This position is integral to our quality assurance team, collaborating closely with hardware, firmware, software, and operations teams to facilitate comprehensive testing of product releases while driving methodologies, coverage, and cycle time improvements.

A solid grasp of the design and development lifecycle, along with various testing methodologies and an understanding of quality regulations and standards, is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a verification and validation strategy for hardware within a software-driven electro-mechanical system.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, System Engineers, and other engineering teams to align on project objectives.
  • Conduct verification and validation of product designs, including requirement analysis and testability evaluations.
  • Perform root cause analysis and propose solutions to enhance product quality.
  • Develop and execute a thorough testing plan to confirm the readiness and effectiveness of new systems.
  • Document and monitor defects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts for platform services.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in system integration and testing within a robotic environment for electro-mechanical devices (automation experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in system testing, subsystem testing, and Hardware/Firmware/Software testing.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multi-functional team environment.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies.
  • Expertise in designing and developing test automation frameworks and libraries.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Robotics Engineering, or a related field.
