Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at QSAC Inc. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing speech and language therapy to children with autism spectrum disorder.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized speech and language programs for students with autism spectrum disorder.
  • Conduct formal and informal assessments of students' speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Write IEP goals, objectives, and updates to ensure students receive the support they need.
  • Implement data collection, behavior management interventions, and the principles of behavior analysis during individualized therapy sessions.
  • Maintain daily attendance of speech sessions and session notes.
Qualifications
  • NYS Certification of Clinical Competency required.
  • NYS Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) or Teacher of Students with Speech Language Disabilities (TSSLD) required.
  • MA Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
  • At least 6 months experience employing behavior analytic principles with children with ASD.
  • Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems, including Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS).
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) highly preferred.
