Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist to provide assessment and treatment services to students with speech, language, and hearing disorders in a school setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and diagnose students with speech, language, and hearing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure effective communication and support
  • Provide training and support to staff on communication strategies and techniques
  • Conduct regular progress monitoring and evaluations to assess student progress
Requirements:
  • NYS Certification of Clinical Competency
  • NYS Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) or Teacher of Students with Speech Language Disabilities (TSSLD)
  • MA Degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • At least 6 months experience employing behavior analytic principles with children with ASD
  • Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems, including Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) highly preferred
