Job Summary

Baker Distributing is seeking a highly skilled Technical Service Advisor to provide exceptional support to our HVAC dealers and sales professionals. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping us grow our business and improve the proficiency of our HVAC technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support by phone to dealers and sales professionals, and branch personnel, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Conduct on-site job visits when necessary, providing hands-on support and guidance to our technicians.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for dealers, focusing on equipment innovation and technical expertise.
  • Maintain regular contact with regional managers, collaborating to identify future training topics and areas for improvement.
  • Perform required duties with a high level of autonomy, demonstrating excellent time management skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Lead the industry in proficiency of new technology, HVAC equipment, and accessories by attending designated training provided by manufacturers and Baker Distributing.
  • Develop and maintain an appropriate expense budget, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Submit regular activity and expense reports, as required, within specified timeframes.
  • Travel regularly, including dealer one-on-one trainings, job site visits, manufacturer trainings, and branch/customer CEU training courses.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effectively multi-task and have the ability to learn quickly.
  • Field service work or equivalent Technical Service Advisor experience.
  • Must be able to do public presentations for groups from 15-100 people.
  • Must meet manufacturer requirements for tech service levels across various lines of equipment.
  • Must be able to become state CEU certified in 5 states (AL, FL, GA, MS, SC).
Licensing and Certifications

Valid driver's license.
