The work location for this role will be determined by the course format (i.e., on-site for in-person classes; remote for online courses; or a combination for hybrid classes). Remote work may be permitted during emergency situations, subject to leadership guidelines and circumstances at that time.
This position is exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Compensation:
$4,000 - $5,333.33 per 4-credit undergraduate course (dependent on the lecturer's educational qualifications). Remuneration will be aligned with experience and credentials.
Summary
The College of Business and Administration at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) aims to establish and maintain a pool of Instructors in Sports Management for future temporary, non-tenure track appointments. These appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made on a semester basis.
This role involves teaching courses related to sport science for sport administrators. Classes may be conducted on-campus, online, or in a hybrid format.
This is a rotating Lecturer Pool for the College of Business. If a course becomes available and your qualifications align with the course requirements, you may be contacted.
The College of Business offers comprehensive undergraduate degrees, select master's degrees, and professional programs that emphasize ethical decision-making based on principles.
Minimum Qualifications- Completed Master's degree in Sport and/or Exercise Science or a closely related discipline.
- A minimum of one year of practical experience in sport management or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- A terminal degree (e.g., PhD, DBA, JD).
- Prior relevant teaching experience.
- Interest or capability in teaching online courses.
- Relevant industry experience with current engagement in professional activities.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to move. The employee may occasionally need to sit for extended periods, bend moderately, and perform fine motor skills. Tasks may involve prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
