Role Overview:
This position is integral to the Campus Safety Department's mission, focusing on the execution of standard security responsibilities. The individual will provide service to the campus community in a respectful and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the opening and closing of campus facilities.
2. Regulate pedestrian and vehicle traffic effectively.
3. Conduct routine patrols of the campus.
4. Engage in community policing by regularly walking through buildings during each shift.
5. Assist with security arrangements during special events (e.g., athletics, homecoming, dances, graduation).
6. Maintain daily logs with detailed accounts of actions as required by federal regulations.
7. Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Campus Safety and/or Vice President of Student Life.

Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina driver's license.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to interact with individuals in a courteous and professional manner.
- Supervisory experience is advantageous.
- Background in security or law enforcement is preferred.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; two years of college coursework is preferred.
- Experience or studies in Criminal Justice is a plus.
