Position SummaryThe Research Scientist focusing on Post-Training will spearhead our research initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency, performance, and resilience of our AI models. This role involves cross-functional collaboration to devise innovative techniques for fine-tuning, adapting, and updating models, thereby driving substantial business value and improving our product offerings.
Key Responsibilities- Lead or significantly contribute to research projects that enhance the practical capabilities of our models.
- Work closely with product teams to bridge the gap between research and application, identifying capability deficiencies and assessing progress.
- Direct research initiatives centered on post-training models for enterprises; design and implement experiments to boost the post-training functionalities of our models.
- Develop novel algorithms and methodologies for efficient model fine-tuning and adaptation.
- Create synthetic datasets and evaluation metrics tailored for enterprise applications.
- Analyze outcomes and extract insights to inform future research endeavors.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in post-training methodologies, integrating relevant findings into research and product development.
- Proven research experience focusing on post-training and optimization of large language models using frameworks like Megatron, DeepSpeed, and MaxText.
- Strong foundational knowledge in machine learning and a principled approach to research.
- Experience in developing new methods or enhancing existing techniques in machine learning or related domains.
- Proficiency in programming languages prevalent in machine learning research, particularly Python.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- A passion for building innovative solutions in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
- (Preferred) Prior experience in enhancing products and user experiences through machine learning applications.
