Application Overview:

Position Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will take charge of managing ongoing mouse and human research programs that explore the intricacies of viral and tumor immunity. Responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and coordinating a multidisciplinary team of clinical researchers, data scientists, and laboratory personnel in the execution and analysis of human clinical trials.
  • Directing comparative studies between patient samples and animal models to enhance understanding of immune responses.
  • Fostering a collaborative environment by contributing innovative ideas and integrating feedback relevant to the research objectives.
  • Preparing and submitting proposals for funding opportunities, including those from the NIH.

Essential Qualifications:
  • PhD in a relevant biomedical discipline, with a preference for immunology, virology/microbiology, or biomedical sciences.
  • A minimum of 2 years of postdoctoral experience.
  • Experience in conducting hepatic immunological studies involving both mouse and human subjects, along with at least 2 years of experience in mentoring and supervising laboratory scientists.
  • Proficiency in spectral flow cytometry, cell sorting, and single-cell sequencing analysis.
  • Experience handling BSL2 pathogens and working with primary human specimens.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of immunology and liver biology.
  • Expertise in spectral flow cytometry and/or CyToF (25+ markers).
  • Experience in designing, executing, and analyzing large-scale multi-omic datasets, including scRNAseq and CITE-seq.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated experience with grant applications and scholarly publications.
  • A proven track record of independent research.
  • Potential for securing sustained research funding.
