Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary:

AP Professionals has partnered with a local food manufacturer to find a Human Resources Generalist. This position is located on-site in Lakeville, NY. The HR Generalist will be responsible for coaching leadership, employee relations, recruitment and onboarding, and HR-related administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Operations and Logistics managers to align people and talent strategies with business objectives and outcomes.
  • Provide coaching, support, and recommendations to leaders to promote effective leadership and management behaviors across the organization.
  • Administer employee relations practices fairly and consistently. Ensure proper delivery and content of disciplinary actions, attend disciplinary meetings as a neutral party, and oversee the correct execution of disciplinary procedures, including terminations.
  • Manage sourcing, talent acquisition, and onboarding for new positions. Ensure an engaging process for candidates and new hires about opportunities and that all required new hire forms and documents are entered accurately and timely.
  • Develop and manage a driver recruitment program, ensuring that Driver Qualification file requirements are in accordance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
  • Assist employees with daily questions and resolve issues or concerns.
  • Assist the Human Resources Manager with refining and implementing HR policies, practices, and processes, managing employee recognition programs, and creating and executing employee engagement, celebration events, and retention programs focused on workplace engagement.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement in all areas of Human Resources.
  • Manages HR-related administrative work confidentially.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Human Resources.

  • Proven ability to analyze information, anticipate business and HR needs, and develop impactful and sustainable solutions.
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide high-level customer service.
  • Ability to withstand pressure and manage emotions effectively in challenging situations.
  • High energy level and positive attitude when approaching new challenges and collaborating with others.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and quality-driven.
  • Strong planning skills with the ability to implement solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
