Job Summary

Research Medical Center is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician PRN to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing sonography procedures, including routine sonograms and interventional sonograms, under the direction of a radiologist. This is a PRN position, offering flexibility and autonomy in your work schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Perform sonography procedures, including routine sonograms and interventional sonograms, under the direction of a radiologist.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Improvement activities.
  • Work within the guidelines established in the policies and procedure manual and comply with all safety and infection control guidelines.
  • Work in accordance with JCAHO, State, or other regulatory or accreditation agencies in the performance of duties.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology and/or School of Sonography.
  • Two-year program or four-year BA program in Radiology Technology followed by training in sonography or completion of requirements from an accredited school in sonography, including meeting all clinical requirements.
  • ARDMS and RVT registration required within 12 months of hire.
  • BLS Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required within 30 days of hire.
