Job Title: Modeling and Simulation Software Developer

Radiance Technologies is seeking a skilled and experienced Modeling and Simulation Software Developer to advance the State-of-the-Art in Aerospace Modeling, Simulation, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The products you will develop will be used to improve our nation's capability by accurately modeling systems and systems interactions used to develop AI by the US Air Force, Space Force, and Department of Defense.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop digital models and integrate them with AI frameworks
  • Work with the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) developed and maintained by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base
  • Collaborate with the engineering design team to develop models, modeling frameworks, and AI integration
  • Interact, analyze, and translate customer requirements and processes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 5 Years of experience in C++ and Python development
  • Experience using source control and CI/CD tools such as Git, Bitbucket, or Gitlab
  • Experience using modeling and simulation tools
  • Experience with Agile software practices and usage of issue trackers like Jira and Gitlab
  • Experience developing software in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Experience with CMake or analogous C/C++ build toolkit and developing cross-platform software
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work well within a team
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Experience with integrated development environments (Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, etc.)
Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in designing and developing Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) visualization tools and enhancements
  • Experience with SysML and Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools
  • Experience developing software for Linux environments
  • Experience working with modeling and simulation tools, such as AFSIM, NGTS, and ITASE
