Affordable Housing Property Manager Assistant

About the Role:
The Assistant Property Manager will work closely with the Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of an affordable housing property. This includes managing collections, lease administration, and resident complaints. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of property management principles and experience working with Section 8 programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily arrears collections and follow up with residents as needed
- Oversee the resident move-in and move-out process
- Inspect all units prior to move-ins and after move-outs
- Work with maintenance staff to administer work order requests
- Assist with annual unit inspections to ensure compliance with Tax Credit Regulatory standards
- Ensure timely collection and completion of annual resident certifications
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in property management, including experience with Section 8
- Familiarity with affordable housing programs
- Experience managing maintenance staff is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Yardi software experience is a plus
