About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our team at IMI plc. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in the assembly, verification, and testing of technical assemblies, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Verification: Assemble, verify, and test technical assemblies, including component builds and fully integrated systems, under the guidance of engineering and scientific staff.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all relevant paperwork is accurately completed and adhere to deadlines, maintaining the highest level of quality control.
  • Communication: Routinely communicate with production leadership on issues that may affect production and deadlines, ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate necessary equipment, both automated and manual, to efficiently complete tasks.
  • Material Handling: Handle various raw materials and provide suggestions for improving products or manufacturing processes.
  • Manufacturing: Work in the manufacturing of raw materials, such as glass fabrication, and understand details of assembly drawings and bills of materials within the life-science industry.
  • Other Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned by management, ensuring the success of the team.
Critical Competencies for Success
  • Education: High School diploma or GED.
  • Attention to Detail: Must have the ability to work with a microscope and demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Manufacturing Experience: 0-3 years of manufacturing experience or a combination of experience and education.
  • Team Player: Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Communication Skills: Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
Physical Requirements

Occasional need to lift boxes up to 30lbs. Frequent bending, walking, and mobility will be necessary. Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop/bend, and reach. Must be able to lift using proper techniques 25 pounds. Vision must be good with the ability to work with microscopes.
