Role Overview

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, verifying, and testing a variety of technical assemblies, ranging from component builds to fully integrated systems, under the guidance of engineering and scientific personnel by executing the necessary tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehend assembly drawings and bills of materials in detail.
  • Thoroughly complete all pertinent documentation and meet deadlines.
  • Regularly communicate with production leadership regarding any issues that may impact production and deadlines.
  • Adhere to assembly instructions and data sheets.
  • Operate essential equipment, whether automated or manual.
  • Manage various raw materials and provide suggestions for product or process enhancements.
  • Engage in the manufacturing of raw materials, including glass fabrication.
  • Understand assembly drawings and bills of materials specific to the life sciences sector.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Critical Competencies for Success
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work with a microscope is essential.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • 0 - 3 years of manufacturing experience or a combination of experience and education.
  • Must operate with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Physical Requirements

Occasional lifting of boxes up to 30lbs is required. Frequent bending, walking, and mobility are necessary. Candidates must be able to stand, walk, climb, stoop/bend, and reach. Proper lifting techniques for 25 pounds are essential. Good vision is required, particularly for working with microscopes.
