We help OEMs across life science and fluid control industries improve the performance of their devices, enabling better scientific research, faster diagnosis of diseases, better medical treatments, and more efficient machines, dramatically improving life for everyone.Our one big team work fairly and effectively but most importantly together to ensure we maintain the foundations that have enabled IMI's success through over 150 years of heritage.IMI Adaptas is part of global engineering organization IMI plc, positioned within the Precision Engineering Division.Role OverviewAn Assembly Technician assembles, verifies, and tests various technical assemblies classified from component builds to fully integrated systems under the approval of engineering and scientific staff by performing the required duties.Work Location: Onsite, Palmer, MAKey ResponsibilitiesUnderstand details of assembly drawings and bills of materials.Accurately complete all relevant paperwork and adhere to deadlines.Routinely communicate with production leadership on issues which could affect production and the meeting of deadlines.Must follow orders and assembly data sheets, etc.Operate necessary equipment either automated or manual.Handle various raw materials and give suggestions on ways to improve the product or manufacturing processes.Work in the manufacturing of raw material, such as glass fabrication.Understand details of assembly drawings and bills of materials within the life-science industry.All other duties as assigned by management. Critical Competencies for SuccessHigh School diploma or GED.Must have the ability to work with a microscope.Candidate MUST have attention to detail.0 - 3 years of manufacturing experience or combination of experience and education.Must have an attention to detail and able to operate with minimal supervision.Must be able to read, write, and understand English.Team player.Physical RequirementsOccasional need to lift boxes up to 30lbs. Frequent bending, walking, and mobility will be necessary. Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop/bend, and reach. Must be able to lift using proper techniques 25 pounds.
