We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Clerk/Barista to join our team at the Olentangy Motor Inn. As a Front Desk Clerk/Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, managing front office operations, and ensuring a seamless experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service: Greet and assist guests, respond to inquiries, and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Front Office Operations: Manage front desk operations, including check-in/check-out, room assignments, and key control.
- Revenue Management: Assist in maximizing revenue goals through up-selling and down-selling, and effectively coordinate daily arrivals and departures.
- Cash Handling: Follow hotel cash handling procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and management to ensure seamless operations.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with the sales team to capitalize on revenue opportunities and work closely with other departments to ensure excellent guest service.
- Training and Development: Attend meetings and training sessions as requested to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Education/Experience: Customer service experience or hotel front desk experience preferred.
- Language Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in English for understanding business letters, memos, customer interaction, and presentations.
- Customer Satisfaction: Maintain a positive and professional attitude, treating all guests and colleagues with courtesy and respect.
- Work Habits: Meet and exceed hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance.
Compensation: $15/hour plus tips, with a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, critical and accident insurance, PTO, and hotel discounts.
