Role Summary

The Culinary Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production leads and support staff, managing all facets of production, including digital record-keeping, daily workflow, and ensuring that all targets are met. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of both kitchen production and packaging processes, with the ability to supervise operations in both areas. The Supervisor will play a crucial role in the recruitment, training, and development of production personnel, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the Plant Manager/Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and adjust monthly production plans to align with business needs.
  • Provide dosing recommendations for production and seek approval from the Plant Manager/Director of Operations.
  • Supervise production staff, directing and assigning tasks effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures through ongoing training and clear communication.
  • Manage team scheduling and delegate tasks throughout the production day.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews in accordance with company policies.
  • Provide regular coaching to enhance performance and address any issues.
  • Oversee daily production activities and assist in planning schedules to meet production goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels of production supplies and ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Maintain high-quality standards throughout production, conducting quality assurance checks on all products.
  • Evaluate operational performance and recommend improvements to enhance product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies and state regulations.
  • Facilitate proper storage and handling of all consumables and products.
  • Communicate effectively with various levels of staff regarding quality and safety concerns.
  • Assist in training production support staff on compliance and operational procedures.
  • Support the Plant Manager/Director of Operations as needed.
  • Participate in packaging tasks as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a production or manufacturing setting, preferably in food or beverage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Exceptional attention to detail is essential.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is necessary.
  • Must obtain all required state permits, licenses, and certifications.
  • ServSafe Food Handler's Card is preferred.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Basic mathematical skills are required.

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from $67,500 to $77,500 annually. As an exempt employee, you will receive a competitive salary, 11 paid holidays, 120 hours of paid time off, a 401K plan, and fully covered health, dental, and vision insurance.
