Job Title: Line Cook

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team at the AC Hotel Dayton. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items to order, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
  • Assist in the maintenance of a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items and specials.
  • Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to hotel standards.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of department budgets and adherence to budget guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook or relevant role.
  • Great attention to detail and creativity.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification and food safety certification preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and baking techniques and nutrition.
  • Safe food handling certificate preferred.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
  • Physical strength and stamina to spend long hours standing and performing repetitive motions.
