About the Role

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic fetal, pediatric, and adult echocardiograms to patients with congenital heart defects and children with acquired heart defects.

Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiograms using two-dimensional images, m-Mode, color flow, and spectral Doppler where applicable.
  • Acquire anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician.
  • Maintain patient charts and records, and record/process sonographic data and other pertinent observations made during the procedure.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and technologies to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Minimum six months experience as an ultrasound technician working in pediatric and/or adult echocardiography setting preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Participates in staff development, in-service workshops, and educational activities.
