Senior Spark Engineer with Java Expertise

Infosys is looking for a Senior Java Spark Engineer.

In this position, you will engage with essential stakeholders and leverage your technical expertise throughout various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, focusing on Java and Spark technologies. Your responsibilities will include constructing robust, fault-tolerant systems, which encompass requirements gathering, application architecture, and design definition. You will significantly contribute to the creation of high-level design documents and ensure the delivery of top-notch code for your module. Additionally, you will oversee validation processes for all testing types and support implementation, transition, and warranty activities.

Essential Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from an accredited institution is required. Alternatively, three years of progressive experience in the specialty may be considered in lieu of each year of education.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Proficiency in Java, Spark, Hadoop, Impala, and Cloudera.

Desirable Qualifications

  • 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in an Application Development role.
  • Experience leading and managing a development team of at least 4 to 5 members for 4 to 8 years.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Big Data technologies and familiarity with data pipelines.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with Apache Spark streaming and batch frameworks is essential.
  • Proficient in programming with Spark SQL, Hive SQL, and Java for Spark.
  • Experience with Kafka or other high-performance streaming frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Hadoop components, particularly Hive, is advantageous.
  • Experience in Agile, Scrum, and/or Test-Driven Development environments.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps practices, including Pipelines and CI/CD, is preferred.
  • Experience in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, and a solid understanding of Data Architecture.
  • Knowledge of Financial Domain Driven Design is essential.
  • Strong customer orientation and quality awareness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
