Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team as a CT Per Diem Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for operating Computed Tomography (CT) equipment, preparing patients for examination, and ensuring that proper information has been obtained for the physician to make a diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CT equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Prepare patients for examination by explaining procedures, positioning them on the exam table, and ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Collaborate with Radiologists to extend imaging protocols and adjust equipment settings as needed
  • Administer intravenous (IV) and oral contrast agents as per Radiologist order and perform venipuncture of the appropriate gauge necessary for examination
  • Utilize special devices to reduce exposure to ionizing radiation of radiosensitive areas
  • Transmit cases to on-call Radiologists through the use of Tele-Radiology systems
Requirements
  • Vocational or Technical school Diploma required
  • Current License to practice as a Radiologist in New York State
  • Current ARRT Radiology registration required, plus specialized certifications as needed
  • 1-3 years of technical experience, required
  • BLS through the American Heart Association
Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $45-$85/hour. Northwell Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan and paid time off.
