Job Title: Volunteer Board Member

Brakin Out Inc. is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Board of Directors as a Volunteer Board Member. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the strategic direction of our organization, ensuring effective governance, and championing our mission to provide second chances and mentorship to at-risk youth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Financial Oversight: Monitor the financial health of the organization and ensure proper financial controls are in place.
  • Advise on Financial Strategy: Share insights and experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Support Fundraising Efforts: Assist in securing resources and building partnerships to sustain and grow our programs.
  • Advocate for Our Mission: Act as an ambassador for Brakin Out Inc., raising awareness and support within the community and professional circles.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a strong understanding of non-profit accounting.
  • Excellent financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong understanding of the financial challenges and needs of non-profit organizations.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Brakin Out Inc.
  • Experience in fundraising, grant writing, or resource development is a plus.
  • Previous board experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Passionate about making a positive impact on the community.
