ROLE SUMMARY
The Cashier serves as the initial point of interaction for patrons entering our establishment. This position is vital in ensuring that every guest enjoys a welcoming atmosphere and receives attentive service. The Cashier's responsibilities include greeting guests warmly, guiding newcomers through the ordering process, recognizing returning customers, and accurately processing orders and payments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Punctually arrives for shifts dressed in appropriate attire.
  • Completes the Opening Checklist to guarantee the front of house is well-stocked, organized, and clean.
  • Welcomes guests promptly and provides them with menus.
  • Identifies first-time visitors and clearly explains the seating and ordering procedures.
  • Builds rapport with regular customers by remembering their names and usual orders.
  • Responds to guest inquiries in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Offers recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
  • Accurately takes and enters orders into the system.
  • Processes payments, both cash and credit, efficiently.
  • Expresses gratitude to every guest.
  • Handles phone inquiries and takes to-go orders.
  • Maintains an organized counter and ensures menus are stocked throughout the shift.
  • Communicates effectively with team members to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Assists colleagues as needed.
  • Follows company protocols for addressing service issues and guest complaints.
  • Adheres to legal requirements and company standards when serving alcohol.
  • Maintains food safety and sanitation standards throughout the shift.
  • Completes the Closing Checklist to ensure the front of house is properly secured at the end of service.
  • Performs assigned side work duties.
  • May engage in deep cleaning tasks as scheduled.
  • May undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Must successfully pass a federal background check.
  • Passionate about hospitality and serving others.
  • High energy and stamina to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Proficient in using technology for order entry and payment processing.
  • Capable of maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Willingness to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to meet essential job functions with reasonable accommodations.
  • Effective communication skills in the primary language of the workplace.
