Operating Room Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room at Ascension St. Vincent. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.
- Perform scrub functions, including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedures.
- Perform circulating functions, including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Directly assist operating physicians with surgical tasks, including hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure, as well as patient positioning.
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- One or more of the following required: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
