We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center. As a key member of our cardiac services team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced operating room environment.
Responsibilities- Deliver professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures
- Perform scrub functions, including instrument and supply selection and handling
- Perform circulating functions, including patient monitoring, recording, and communication
- Assist operating physicians with surgical tasks, including hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing
- Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire date
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date
- Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire
- Experience in a cardiac operating room environment
- Knowledge of cardiac surgical procedures and protocols
