Position Summary:
We are seeking a full-time strategic Maintenance Engineering Manager to oversee the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and systems, ensuring minimal unplanned downtime while adhering to regulatory, budgetary, and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of personnel involved in the setup, repair, and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of preventative, predictive, and precision maintenance systems, along with performance metrics.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and propose both immediate and long-term solutions.
  • Manage capital expenditure budgets responsibly and contribute to annual budget planning and capital project execution.
  • Initiate purchase requisitions as necessary and oversee third-party contractors to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Drive project improvements focused on enhancing manufacturing performance, including 5-S, SMED, waste reduction, cost efficiency, and quality assurance.
  • Provide engineering guidance on facility infrastructure, including boilers, HVAC, compressed air systems, and power transmission.
  • Plan and coordinate activities related to the design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Corporate environmental regulations and coordinate with key business partners.
  • Manage environmental programs related to hazardous materials, air quality, and training of plant personnel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for education.
  • 4-5 years of experience in the food manufacturing sector is preferred.
  • CAD/CAM experience is advantageous.

Skills:
Ability to solve practical problems, interpret various instructions, and analyze technical documents. Proficient in report writing and effective communication with diverse groups.

Work Environment:
Exposure to fluorescent lighting, wet conditions, and loud noise levels. Physical demands include sitting, walking, standing, and manual dexterity.
