Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve guests in a professional and positive manner, including taking food and beverage orders and delivering exceptional service.
  • Utilize Jinya's steps of service, up-selling techniques, and proper menu knowledge to guide guests to daily specials and ensure dietary needs are met.
  • Greet guests as they arrive, ensuring proper seating arrangements and reservations check-in or providing a wait-list time, if necessary.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with guests and team members, both front and back of the house operations.
  • Ensure cleanliness of service stations and support team members in front of house operations.
  • Respond to minor guest complaints and alert management of any major or critical guest or service concerns.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-3 years bartending experience, preferably in a high-volume atmosphere.
  • Outstanding and professional verbal and written skills, with strong ability to multi-task.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Willingness to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification, if needed.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Work Environment:

This job operates in a fun yet professional restaurant environment. The team member is regularly required to talk and hear, frequently stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The team member must be able to distinguish between sweet, savory, and other food flavors. The team member will work in an indoor and outdoor environment, which might be hot, humid, and wet. The team member must be able to reach, bend, and frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds.
