Position Overview
The Board of Equalization is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Assistant Property Auditor Appraiser. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with property assessment regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Under the guidance of a Supervising Property Appraiser, assist in conducting audits of state property records to verify adherence to reporting standards.
- Prepare unitary value indicators and formulate value recommendations for submission to the State Board of Equalization.
- Engage in various financial analyses and studies related to the valuation and assessment of state-assessed properties.
This recruitment is intended to fill multiple vacancies and may also be utilized for future openings within a specified timeframe.
Work Environment
- Eligible candidates may have the opportunity for telework up to fifty percent (50%) of the time.
Special Requirements
- Participation in E-Verify is mandatory, and the employer will verify employment eligibility.
- Travel may be required up to fifty percent (50%) of the time.
- A valid California Driver's License is necessary for this position.
- Successful candidates must obtain a BOE appraiser certification within one year of qualifying for the examination.
