Job Description and Duties

This is a critical role within the Board of Equalization, responsible for ensuring compliance with reporting instructions and preparing unitary value indicators and value recommendations for submission to the State Board of Equalization.

Under the direct supervision of a Supervising Property Appraiser, the Assistant Property Auditor Appraiser will assist on audits and audits the records of state assessees to ensure accuracy and completeness. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial analysis and valuation principles, as well as experience working with financial data and software. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the Board of Equalization's mission to ensure fair and accurate property assessments.

Working Conditions
  • Telework is available fifty percent (50%) of the time.
Special Requirements
  • This employer participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Travel required fifty percent (50%) of the time.
  • Position requires employee to have and maintain a valid: California Driver's License.
  • Position requires employee to attain a BOE appraiser certification within one year after qualifying for the certification examination.
