Job Title: Associate Tax Auditor

Job Summary:

The Associate Tax Auditor will review, analyze, and adjust complex sales tax returns, allocation schedules, and field audit reports in accordance with local and district tax allocation guidelines. This role requires effective communication with staff, taxpayers, and others to resolve assignments accurately and timely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze complex tax returns and allocation schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Adjust tax returns and allocation schedules as necessary to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with staff, taxpayers, and others to resolve assignments accurately and timely
  • Train lower-level staff and review and approve reallocations and redistributions of tax auditor and tax technician positions
  • Evaluate tax distributions that require investigation and prepare procedural bulletins
Working Conditions:

This position is located in a high-rise building and requires a standard office environment. Telework is available 50% of the time. The position requires being in a stationary position for extended periods and daily use of a personal computer, office equipment, and/or telephone.
