Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Avionics Technician to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. As a Senior Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electronic systems on aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform operational and functional tests on avionics and electronic systems to ensure defect-free aircraft.
  2. Provide direct training to personnel to support company cross-training goals and ensure a safety-conscious, quality-oriented workforce.
  3. Teach the installation and functional testing of electrical and avionics components and systems per Engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
  4. Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, troubleshoot, and teach troubleshooting processes to provide timely and quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
  5. Oversee the performance and compliance with engineering changes and modifications as required.
  6. Set up and operate necessary test equipment, conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
  7. Document all work performed on aircraft properly and completely.
  8. Enforce company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.

Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. Six (6) years experience in an avionics/electrical career field, or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and four (4) years related experience.
  3. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
  4. Other FCC License preferred.
  5. Other NCATT preferred.
