Safety Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Manager to join our team at Soben, a leading construction consultancy. As a Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and evaluate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for health and safety across all construction projects.
  • Review and assess the health and safety implications of changes during construction projects.
  • Develop and implement reporting and communication structures for health and safety management performance.
  • Attend meetings with management and personnel to discuss health and safety planning and coordination.
  • Conduct independent health and safety audits on construction management.
  • Assess compliance with agreed KPIs across all project stages.
  • Coordinate work activities on sites and identify high-risk activities.
  • Conduct training and education on health and safety.
  • Assist in reviewing safe plans of action and lifting plans.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of EPA standards (OSHA plus).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead.
  • Great attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
