Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Development to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planned giving, annual giving, philanthropy, budgeting, and fundraising activities. They will work closely with our executive team and board members to ensure revenue-generating activities are aligned with our organizational goals and long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Fundraising: Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Revenue Diversification: Identify and pursue new revenue streams to ensure long-term sustainability.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Grant Research and Management: Conduct research and secure grants to support our programs and services.
  • Event and Fundraiser Coordination: Plan and execute successful fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support our fundraising efforts.
Requirements
  • Planned Giving and Annual Giving skills: Proven experience in planned giving and annual giving strategies.
  • Philanthropy and Fundraising experience: Strong track record of securing donations and managing fundraising campaigns.
  • Budgeting expertise: Ability to develop and manage budgets to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen: Excellent analytical and financial skills to drive informed decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to build strong relationships with donors, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders: Proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  • Experience working in the non-profit sector: Preferred experience working in STEM education and/or youth-serving organizations.
  • Knowledge of donor management systems: Familiarity with donor management systems to track and manage donations.
  • Must live in metro-Atlanta: Ability to relocate to the Atlanta area is required.
