Warehouse Operations Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join our team at CarParts. As a key member of our distribution center, you will be responsible for planning, controlling, and directing assigned operations in a cost-efficient, timely, and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and Assign Employees: Schedule and assign employees in the direct performance of assigned tasks, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Execute Processing Goals: Execute processing goals in accordance with the warehouse budget in the receiving dock area, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Monitor and Improve Efficiency: Observe direct reports' KPI efficiency rates and coach employees when improvement is required, ensuring that all employees are working at optimal levels.
- Review and Evaluate Operations: Review staff requirements, evaluate operations, make recommendations, and take appropriate action to ensure that all operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Prepare and Maintain Records: Prepare or supervise the preparation of production records and reports as required, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Manage Inventory: Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials are available when needed.
- Ensure Safety and Compliance: Maintain safe operating practices, ensuring that all employees are working in a safe and healthy environment.
- Lead and Manage Others: Work with others in a team environment, take direction, follow work rules and procedures, and the ability to accept constructive criticism, ensuring that all employees are working together effectively.
- Perform Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
- Expertise in Distribution Operations: An expert in distribution operations, with a strong understanding of warehouse management and logistics.
- Education and Experience: A graduate from high school or equivalent, with 3 years of previous warehousing experience, receiving/inbound experience preferred.
- Functional Reading, Writing, and Math: Functional reading, writing, and math skills, with the ability to read and write in English.
- Literate on the PC: Literate on the PC, including MS Office Suite.
- Expert in Written and Verbal Communication: Expert in written and verbal communication/instruction skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and management.
