Job Title: HVAC Supervisor

Are you a skilled HVAC professional looking for a challenging and rewarding role in a dynamic hotel and resort environment? We are seeking an experienced HVAC Supervisor to join our team at Crescent Hotels & Resorts.

Job Summary:

The HVAC Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems within the hotel. This includes supervising a team of HVAC technicians, planning and prioritizing daily work assignments, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead a team of HVAC technicians to ensure efficient and effective performance.
  • Plan and prioritize daily work assignments to ensure timely completion of maintenance, repairs, and installations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC system malfunctions and provide guidance and assistance to technicians in resolving them.
  • Coordinate with external contractors or vendors for specialized repairs or installations, ensuring compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including equipment logs, service reports, and inventory of spare parts.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and housekeeping, to address guest requests and ensure minimal disruption to their comfort.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to HVAC systems and make recommendations for system improvements or upgrades.
  • Monitor and manage HVAC-related expenses, including budgeting, cost control, and procurement of necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and guidelines while performing HVAC maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of HVAC technicians, providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement or training needs.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized HVAC training program is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an HVAC technician, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and refrigeration.
  • Familiarity with various HVAC tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Must have the physical strength, stamina, and agility to perform the assigned duties.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, squat, bend, and stretch for long periods of time.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report work-related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
  • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Requires problem-solving abilities.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and environmentally responsible work environment.
  • Must be able to interact with co-workers and have a sense of TEAM.
