Job SummaryWe are seeking a friendly and outgoing Cashier to join our team at The Stand Restaurants. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Key Responsibilities- Greeting Guests: Welcome and engage with customers, ensuring a positive and friendly experience.
- Taking Orders: Accurately process customer transactions, handle payments, and provide change as needed.
- Promoting Our Stand App: Inform customers about our rewards program and encourage them to download our app.
- Cashiering: Operate a cash register, handle cash, credit card transactions, and process returns.
- Running Orders: Expedite orders to customers in a timely manner, ensuring they receive their food and drinks promptly.
- Keeping the Restaurant Clean: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the dining area, kitchen, and restrooms.
- Baking and Portioning: Assist with baking cookies and brownies, as well as portioning sauces and pickles.
- Cash Management: Follow cash management policies and procedures, ensuring accurate handling of cash and credit transactions.
- Effective Communication: Develop strong communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
- Food Preparation: Prepare food items as directed, following recipes and presentation specifications.
- Equipment Operation: Use restaurant tools and equipment, including cash registers, microwaves, and dishwashers.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain the restaurant, adhering to good safety and sanitation practices.
- Frequent Walking and Standing: Spend most of the shift walking and standing, with occasional breaks.
- Physical Demands: Reach, bend, twist, and kneel repeatedly, as well as lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
- Exposure to Chemicals: Be exposed to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures.
- Age: Must be at least 21 years old.
- Schedule: Available to work 8AM-5PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
- Competitive Pay: Earn a competitive hourly wage.
