Position Summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Flight Operations Mechanic.

This role includes a variety of responsibilities associated with aircraft operations, including but not limited to:

  • Conducting operational checks of aircraft before and during preflight procedures.
  • Inspecting explosive and armament systems.
  • Performing maintenance activities prior to flight readiness and conducting final inspections on experimental aircraft.
  • Executing operational checks and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Calibrating and modifying electronic test equipment used in production.
  • Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and mechanical systems.
  • Overseeing engine operations and troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Managing the installation and repair of aircraft engines and related components.
  • Conducting structural repairs and modifications to aircraft.
  • Fabricating parts and performing composite repairs.
Work Environment

This position requires full onsite presence at designated locations.

Security and Clearance Requirements

Applicants must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, necessitating U.S. Citizenship.

Essential Qualifications
  • Experience in electrical assembly and installation.
  • Familiarity with aircraft structural fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Proficiency in sheet metal assembly techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with military aircraft, particularly in avionics and electrical systems.
Education and Experience

A high school diploma or GED is required, with a preference for candidates possessing at least one year of relevant experience.

Additional Information

Selected candidates must be adaptable to various shifts as required.

This is an hourly position governed by collective bargaining agreements.

New hires may be subject to training upon commencement of employment.

Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of any required training and probationary periods.
