Job Description:
A Citizens Banker serves as the face of the branch, dedicating time to getting to know customers and building lasting relationships through trusted advice. The ideal candidate is outgoing, enjoys helping others, and excels at building positive relationships with customers. They will utilize strong communication and problem-solving skills to provide recommendations and assist customers with financial solutions, supporting spending, saving, borrowing, and investing needs. The Banker will get to know customers' personal financial goals and recommend tailored solutions to help achieve them, introducing them to digital and mobile-first ways to handle banking transactions. This role requires collaboration with partners in Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Business Banking to help customers with more complex financial needs, making outbound calls to acquire new customers, and scheduling financial checkup appointments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School degree or GED required
- 2 years of sales and customer service experience, demonstrating an ability to meet or exceed goals
- Ability to effectively ask questions and identify needs to improve the customer relationship
- Proven success with building relationships, recommending, and referring products and services through in-person and phone interactions
- Demonstrated skills in using digital technology to support business goals
- Aptitude to problem solve and provide solutions to customer issues
- Recognized ability to strengthen relationships with teammates, business partners, and specialists through collaboration
- Self-motivated, confident, and ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings
- Meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including successful completion of pre-employment screening checks and obtaining a unique identifier from the NMLS.
