Counter Server

Job Summary

The Counter Server is a key member of our restaurant team, responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service to our guests. As a Counter Server, you will be the face of our brand, ensuring that every guest has a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food and beverage items in a fast-paced café or counter service environment
• Operate a point-of-sale system and handle cash and credit transactions
• Provide exceptional guest service, ensuring that guests leave happy and satisfied
• Maintain a safe and clean dining space, including wiping tables and chairs, discarding trash, and stocking table top guest supplies
• Participate in food preparation and service, adhering to health codes and the Chef's/Manager's specifications
• Provide responsible alcohol service to guests
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment through cleaning and organization
• Safely use a knife and operate various kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, and soup kettles
• Report any problems with food product, kitchen equipment, or work area to a Chef/Manager
• Assist with storage of food, beverage, and wood deliveries
• Assist in keeping exterior spaces safe and clean

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Understanding of oral or written directions in English is required
• Basic computer and math skills required
• High School graduate preferred
• Prior guest service experience is preferred
• Prior work experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred
• TIPS Certification preferred
• Ability to ski or ride at an intermediate level is required for employees of ski-in/ski-out restaurants in winter

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk, or be on your feet for extended periods
• Regularly work in wet, hot, and humid conditions for extended periods
• Must be able to continually lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
