About the Role

The Circle Development Manager is a key member of the development team, responsible for cultivating and soliciting gifts of $2,500-$10,000 and above, as well as managing corporate sponsorships and partnerships. This role directs all aspects of the Circle program, its strategic direction, and programming, and assists the Development team in achieving personal and departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage The Ringling's Circle program as a leadership annual giving initiative, identifying, recruiting, and enlisting Circle Level donors and securing annual gifts in the $2,500 - $10,000 range.
  • Create, schedule, and coordinate all programming for Circle Level members, working with the Executive Director, Curators, Senior Staff, and Events teams to feature an array of programs representing the breadth of experiences offered at The Ringling.
  • Facilitate Circle materials, invitations, mailings, program talking points, and event planning, working with outside travel consultants to manage group travel opportunities for Circle Members.
  • Create and manage the Sponsorship plan for The Ringling, identifying, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio of corporate, organizational, and individual donors who have the potential to provide underwriting support for the programmatic needs of The Ringling.
  • Provide outstanding customer service assisting Sponsors, Circle, and Ringling Foundation Board members with respect to their event registrations and tickets, as well as accommodating their guests.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and four years' experience in a related field or a combination of post-high school education and experience equal to eight years.
  • Valid Driver's License or the ability to obtain prior to hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A passion for and knowledge of the arts.
  • Advanced degree preferred in the arts or humanities.
  • General knowledge of the Sarasota philanthropic community.
  • Professional experience in fund development in an arts or other nonprofit setting.
