Job Description

At Cross Resource Group, we are seeking a skilled Service Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Service Department, you will play a crucial role in maximizing return on investment by optimizing Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire work order cycle process, from generation to closing and invoicing for customer and internal work.
  • Sell service labor and parts, ensuring all technicians are highly productive to meet budgets and goals.
  • Work with the Service Manager to identify and execute continuous process improvements.
  • Communicate, enforce, and monitor effective Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Schedule and assign jobs and work areas to employees in the Service Department according to their skills and knowledge.
  • Review work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to customer billing.
  • Ensure all service Warranty and Product Improvement Programs are completed and submitted within the required timeframe to receive maximum credit.
  • Ensure all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order.
  • Actively coach, develop, and help employees grow their capabilities.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training to develop and advance knowledge and skill sets.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in Service Department operations
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet-based functions
  • Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups
  • Ability to effectively lead a team and hold people accountable
  • Familiarity with agricultural equipment and competitive products
  • Basic understanding of financial principles relative to Service Department operations
  • Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
