Key Responsibilities:

  • Select and train foster care resource providers who possess the skills and dedication to offer a nurturing environment for children with unique needs.
  • Partner with the Department of Social Services, Children's Division, to enhance the lives of children in search of stable foster care placements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with foster care resource providers to ensure they have the necessary support and resources to provide high-quality care.
  • Conduct regular home visits and assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of children in foster care.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and therapists, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for children in foster care.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related human services field from an accredited institution.
  • Two years of experience working with children and families in the direct delivery of social services in a public or private agency, preferably in the fields of foster care or adoption.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities, critical thinking skills, and excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage time well, stay organized, and work well in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
